Monica has over 27 years of experience in consulting, coaching, learning and development, management and C-Level engagements. As an employee and entrepreneur providing training and management consulting, she has worked with numerous clients across Asia. Complementing her business and managerial roles, she also has a wide profile of consulting, coaching and training experience. Her experience as a consultant working in diverse countries has sharpened her abilities to identify key issues restraining or driving organizations and individuals, quickly and effectively. Her practical, structured & analytical approach is complemented by her creative and independent nature. She has used extensive multi-cultural business experience and proven coaching and training techniques to take senior and middle management clients on a journey to peak performance in the following areas:

Improved Business performance by Sales and Channel Transformation – She has designed a comprehensive Sales competency assessment and development framework to take Sales People through a Sales Transformation journey backed by effective Sales Management and Sales Coaching. She has also successfully implemented a ROI model on all learning and development initiatives for HP and for her other clients. Besides internal sales employee transformation, she has also created and implemented a Channel Sales Transformation strategy framework for different tiers of channel partners.

Retail and B2C business enablement – She has extensively worked with Nokia Academy and business to enable their B2C business transformation. She has designed a comprehensive e-learning package starting from FOS (Feet-on-street) onboarding to sales training (including Customer Behaviour, Retail Sales Excellence, Visual Merchandising, Store-Operations) upto retail sales certification. She has also done similar work for Canon B2C retail in India and has also enabled HP retail business, managing learning and TTT of Retail Account Managers enabling them to manage retail front line sales staff.

Leadership, Coaching & Mentoring – She has led many leadership Interventions at Exec, Senior and Middle management level. She is an executive coach and has provided 1:1 executive coaching to Senior Executives and has helped many executives reach their maximum potential. As a coach, she works with her clients in a very subtle manner and brings out their best by helping them focus and prioritize, break down their priorities into actionable tasks and clarify their values. She has also done talent development projects ranging from top talent development to succession planning for senior execs.

Management by Development Objectives (MDOs) – She has introduced MDO (Management by development objective) framework besides usual MBO (Management by Business Objective) framework in HP leading a competency based Talent Management and development framework and leading associated change management Initiatives. She has been a motivational and inspirational speaker and has ignited passion and a sense of self-ownership in many people through her sessions. She can deliver Key Note speeches at Sales Kick Offs/ Partner Events/ Big Corporate Events.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Monica has held a number of Senior Consultant positions. She has worked in different Asian countries like India, Japan, Korea, China and Singapore, which gives her a diverse business and cultural understanding and she uses this very effectively in her work with her clients. She started her career journey at a major Indian IT company NIIT from 1990-1999, moved to Morgan Stanley-Japan as a Sr. Consultant from 2000-2003, became Entrepreneur-Senior Facilitator and Coach 2004-2012, worked as APJ L&D Leader at HP Singapore- 2013-2016 and presently is the Founder and Managing Director of ‘Soulz Training and Consulting’.
